Shamcey Supsup ipinaliwanag bakit si Pauline Amelinckx ang first-ever reyna ng ‘The Miss Philippines’

NAGSALITA na ang Miss Universe Philippines National Director na si Shamcey Supsup matapos koronahan ang kauna-unahang “The Miss Philippines.”
Marami kasi ang nagulat at nalito nang ibinigay ang titulo kay 2023 Miss Supranational first runner-up Pauline Amelinckx kasabay ng homecoming niya mula sa kompetisyon sa Poland.
Sey ni Shamcey sa kanyang interview with INQUIRER.net, “She was a winner for us there in Miss Supranational.”
“And I felt like, ‘okay if not there, then maybe we Filipinos would grant her that recognition she truly deserves,” patuloy niya.
Chika pa niya, “So we decided, when we were in Poland, we’re already talking about it, maybe we should award her as the first The Miss Philippines.”

“I think it’s just fitting because The Miss Philippines award goes to the second highest, and Pauline was the Top 2, the second one,” giit ng national director.
Sambit niya pa, “So we decided [in Poland] that it’s good to give that credit to her. If we did have The Miss Philippines [at that time], then maybe she would’ve had gotten it. She would’ve been The Miss Philippines.”
Bilang The Miss Philippines, si Pauline ay may natitirang dalawang buwan bago niya ipasa ang korona.
“There are still so many things that are in the planning stage. But I think she can be a great role model for our future girls who are going to compete,” paliwanag ni Shamcey.
Aniya pa, “It takes hard work and dedication, and not just beauty, for you to bag the title, and I think Pauline is a good example of that.”
Para sa kaalaman ng marami, ang newly-formed pageant ay itinatag mismo ni Shamcey at MUPH Creative and Events Director na si Jonas Gaffud.
Ang mga mananalong reyna sa The Miss Philippines ay ilalaban nila sa Miss Supranational at Miss Charm international pageants.
Sa katunayan nga ay bukas na ang aplikasyon para sa mga nais sumubok sa kompetisyon at ang coronation night nito ay mangyayari na sa darating na Oktubre.
