Ang caption ng TV host-actress sa kanyang IG post, “Just the right accents to make the place pretty, nothing too fancy or too delicate for a house designed for kids, but still definitely something pretty to complement the design.

“Btw, this is all there is on the 2nd flr of the house.

Ang reply naman sa kanya ni Iya, “What’s great about the place is that its so small you know what the kids are up to, when you can trust your kids and trust their own judgement, you learn to be a little more chill about things.

“Also, those beds were placed there just for the sake of design. You can move those beds around according to how you want,” paliwanag ng celebrity mom.

Sabat naman ng isa pang netizen, “No. Sorry. It’s not about trust, it’s about precaution.”

Sagot sa kanya ni Iya, “Then as you would in any space that is not your home, you make the necessary changes and move things around, right?

“In whatever space you have, as a mother, you will always manage to make things work, the upstairs was designed more dedicated for napping and resting. There’s a space for active play for them here and that’s the playground,” esplika pa ng wifey ni Drew.

The main purpose of the house is for short stays. I have a 3 and 6 years old kids and at 2yrs old they already know not to jump/climb out of the windows and stairs.

“As a parent, you have the responsibility to teach them how to play safe and stop using being a ‘KID’ as an excuse. And honestly, it’s not your house to begin with,” irita pang sabi nito.

“Thank you. I am hoping to allow other families to enjoy this space too,” ang reply sa kanya ni Iya.

May nagtanggol pa sa TV host na nagsabing, “Iya, having 4 kids, is surely NOT crazy to not think about the safety of her children during the designing of their house. She knows that.

“Y’all should stop saying you’re just concern for the kids. When all you wanted is to makialam sa bahay ng may bahay.”

Sey ni Iya sa kanya, “Thank you for your energy.”

Kasunod nito, nag-react na rin si Drew sa mga nabasang comments ng netizens, “I never knew reading comments can be so entertaining!

Samantala, nagbigay na ng update si Iya tungkol sa design ng second floor ng kanilang bahay, “I understand the anxiety the railings, bed and windows bring and to address the anxiety, pls note that these beds were set up this way only for the sake of these pictures.

“These are stackable beds and will be set up according to the request of the user/family, when we use these beds, it’s only one layer and super wide to accommodate all 6 of us (since we co-sleep).

“And for the windows, I guess my children know not to climb out. I’d like to believe your children would know not to as well and if in the future I see it does become a problem, then I will make the changes necessary. the house really is tiny (48sqm) so it’s easy to see if the kids are up to some monkey business.

“Also, the upstairs was really more designed for napping and resting so the playground is the place for active play.

“As with any new house, there are things you only discover as you use the place which is why my family and I have been testing it out first before we let YOU GUYS use it too.

“FYI, we’ve been using this space since September 2022, and have been refining since then as we address the concerns for children, so far, even my most daring and monkey child, Leon, hasn’t thought of climbing out the window,” mahabang paliwanag ni Iya Villania.

But he got turned off…
