Ed Sheeran maglalabas ng bagong album tungkol sa kanyang ‘adult life’

INANUNSYO ng British singer-songwriter na si Ed Sheeran na may bagong album siyang ilalabas sa mga susunod na buwan.
Pinamagatan itong “Subtract” na nakatakdang i-release sa May 5.
Sa Instagram, sinabi ni Ed na isang dekada ang kanyang iginugol upang mabuo ang bagong album.
Nakwento pa niya na nagsilbing therapy ang pagsusulat niya ng mga kanta matapos maharap sa ilang pagsubok sa buhay.
Caption niya sa Instagram post, “Writing songs is my therapy. It helps me make sense of my feelings. I wrote without thought of what the songs would be, I just wrote whatever tumbled out.”
Sey pa niya, “And in just over a week I replaced a decade’s worth of work with my deepest darkest thoughts.”
Nabanggit pa nga niya sa nasabing post ang ilan sa mga life-changing events na nangyari sa kanya recently.
At isa na riyan ang pagpanaw ng kanyang bestfriend, ang kanyang court battle laban sa kasong plagiarism, pati na rin ang pagkakaroon ng tumor ng kanyang misis.
“Within the space of a month, my pregnant wife got told she had a tumor, with no route to treatment until after the birth. My best friend Jamal, a brother to me, died suddenly, and I found myself standing in court defending my integrity and career as a songwriter,” lahad niya.
Aniya pa, “I was spiraling through fear, depression and anxiety. I felt like I was drowning, head below the surface, looking up but not being able to break through for air.”

Pagbubunyag pa niya, ang nilalaman ng kanyang album ay tungkol sa kanyang “adult life” at hindi na raw niya inaasahan na magugustuhan ito ng maraming tao.
“For the first time, I’m not trying to craft an album people will like, I’m merely putting something out that’s honest and true to where I am in my adult life,” sey ng British singer.
14 songs ang magiging laman ng kanyang “Subtract” album at heto ang kumpletong listahan ng pamagat ng kanyang tracklist: “Boat,” “Saltwater,” “Eyes Closed,” “Life Goes On,” “Dusty,” “End of Youth,” “Colorblind,” “Curtains,” “Borderline,” “Spark,” “Vega,” “Sycamore,” “No Strings,” at “The Hills of Aberfeldy.”
Matatandaan noong Nobyembre lamang ay inanunsyo ni Ed na siya ay magpapahinga na muna sa music industry upang matutukan ang kanyang pamilya.
IUlan lamang sa mga kanta na kanyang pinasikat ay ang “Perfect,” “Photograph,” “Thinking Out Loud,” “Castle on the Hill,” at “Bad Habits.”
