Stephen Speaks nilinaw ang isyu ukol sa traffic violation: I saved that kid from a traffic ticket he didn’t deserve

“Our Grab (like Uber) driver just got pulled in Manila over for running a red light, and my tour crew bribed him with a selfie with me to let us go. He said he sings Passenger Seat at the karaoke bar,” mababasa sa Facebook post ng Stephen Speaks.

Dagdag pa nito, “I was like…. I can’t believe that actually worked.”

“I’m a fan of his but this is wrong. Advertising that the law can be bent on someone else’s advantage. Not good, Stephen Speaks,” saad ng isang netizen.

Comment naman ng isa, “Not sure this is something to be proud of? No one is above the law. Just my two cents.”

“Yung mali na nga yung ginawa mo, pinagmalaki mo pa. Lol,” hirit naman ng isa.

Samantala, nilinaw naman ng Stephen Speaks na wala naman daw talagang violation matapos ipakita ng driver ang dash cam sa traffic enforcer.

“The kid driving us showed the officer on his dash cam that he was clear of the light, someone stopped in front of him and that’s why he didn’t make it all the way through,” pagpapaliwanag nito.

Dagdag pa ng Stephen Speaks, “You all need to chill out, we aren’t criminals here. I saved that kid from a traffic ticket he didn’t deserve. It’s like the replay in a sports game when the referee realizes he saw it wrong. I offered to pay the traffic ticket for the kid, because he didn’t do anything wrong. You haters need to relax.”

“I wish the people from the govt could see this and give you a gift that you will regret,” sey ng isang netizen.

Reply naman ng Stephen Speaks, “The kid was just driving normal. Relax. He was clear of that light. It’s just a traffic ticket. I even offered to pay it before the officer saw the dash cam footage and 14 motorcycles cut him off.

“We did nothing wrong, and justice was served proper the way it is supposed to be. Except for all the motorcycles [breaking] the laws who got away with it. Go focus your anger on them.”

I think the ‘resentment’ was only because you had a wrong choice of word. “Bribe” implies your driver offered a selfie with you for a favor. Pretty sure the Traffic Enforcer decided to give your driver a pass, given your celebrity status (no harm I’m that).

“The Enforcer was likely the one who made the request, just wanting to have “proof” and the bragging rights of his encounter with you.”
