Bakit nga ba tinanggap ni Dimples Romana ang role sa ‘Iron Heart’?
MARAMI ang nagulat sa ginanap na mediacon ng TV series na “Iron Heart” na isa si Dimples Romana sa cast dahil makikipagsabayan siya ng action dito, e, kapapanganak lang niya noong Hunyo.
Sa madaling salita ay limang buwan palang ang nakalilipas at through ceasarian section pa siya. Kaya tinanong kung hindi ba delikado ito sa aktres gayung hindi pa totally healed ang tahi niya.
Ang paliwanag ni Dimples ay kinailangan niyang tanggapin ang “Iron Heart “para labanan ang postpartum, ito raw ang proseso niya para hindi siya makaramdam nito.
“I did pilates (mind body exercise) CS kasi ako but I heal very quickly. I battle very bad postpartum depression. That’s also the reason why every time na nanganganak ako you see me working right away.
“That’s how I battle postpartum. I have it really bad, like, I wake up in the morning and I feel sad right away. And makaka-relate sa akin a lot of moms out there who don’t necessary like to talk about it.
“Ako kasi, masamang-masama ’yong ganu’n ko pagka panganak ko. So I wanted to get back to work right away but of course with care. Kasi nga CS ako,” paliwanag ni Dimples.
Nagmu- Muay Thai at naglalaro ng tennis din si Dimples isa sa mga ginagawa niya para back in shape agad.
“So I did pilates first and then now I’m doing Muay Thai in Alabang. And then recently, I’ve also been doing tennis. So slowly but surely,” masayang pagbahagi ng aktres.
Dagdag pa, “I think it was very, very apt for me to do right after giving birth. Kasi nakaka-pressure pala pag mom of three ka na. Meron ng feeling na parang ‘Oh my God! What can I offer next not just as a woman but as an actor?’ Kasi I’ve been acting for 25 years.
“When you have roles like Daniela (sa Kadenang Ginto), and Babaylan (Bagani) which was offered to me by Star Creatives, it scares you a lot. Because from there, you don’t know where to go after that.
“But when you get an offer as good as Celine (karakter sa Iron Heart), which is a fighter here and you just don’t know whether she’s good or bad you don’t know just yet.
Plus, it empowers me as a woman, as a mom kasi dito makikita mo nagpa-fighting scenes ako,”say ng aktres.
Dumaan naman daw sa training si Dimples pagdating sa fighting scenes.
“Ngayon kasi, alam naman natin na men fight and they fight really well. But now we want to also show that we can fight like girls. And when we say we fight like a girl, we fight like a girl. Parang I just want to do something like a character of some sort.
“Saka with guidance naman nina Direk Lester Pimentel Ong and his team.
“Nu’ng nagba-babaylan kasi ako nagpa-fighting ako. Pero ’yong fighting ko kasi ’yong sumasayaw, e.

“Dito parang wala naman pero doon kasi ’yong fighting ko may super powers. Dito ’yong superpowers n’ya is very physical and very real as Direk Lester would say,”kuwento ng aktres.
At ang dahilan din kaya tinanggap nito ang Iron Heart ay, “This is my first time working with Richard. And I see him often because magkaibigan kami ni Angel (Locsin), ’di ba, Chard (sabay lingon sa aktor) ’no? So I always see you.
“Ganu’n lang ’yong interaction namin. To see him face to face doing so many great things, it’s just very amazing thing for me to watch especially as an actor.”
Abangan ang kuwento ni Celine sa Iron Heart simula sa Lunes, Nobyembre 14 mula sa Star Creatives at direksyon nina Lester Pimentel Ong at Richard Arellano.
