Iza Calzado game na game gumanap na ‘totoong buntis’, pero bawal muna ang matinding drama at iyakan

MAAYOS at safe na safe naman ang pagbubuntis ng Kapamilya actress na si Iza Calzado na nakauwi na uli ng Pilipinas mula sa United Kingdom.
Kuwento ng nagdadalang-taong aktres, so far ay wala namang masyadong pagbabago sa kanyang health condition, at super okay din ang lagay ng first baby nila ni Ben Wintle.
Umuwi ng bansa si Iza para sa ilan pa niyang showbiz commitments, kabilang na riyan ang bago niyang teleserye na “K-Love” na natapos ang shooting bago pa niya i-announce ang pagbubuntis last August.
“It’s been a relatively smooth pregnancy but there was a major challenge which I’ll share next time. But so far it’s been a breeze. I didn’t really get morning sickness, I’ve been able to work out,” pahayag ng aktres sa presscon ng naturang online series ng Viu Philippines last October 8.
“I’m so grateful. I’m enjoying it. It really came at a perfect time because even if it was unplanned, I’ve been ready for it pala. So I’m due early next year,” sabi pa ni Iza.
Bago siya manganak early next year, gusto pa ring magtrabaho ng future mommy, “I’m stepping into the greatest role yet. So I’m preparing for that. As always, I’m a crammer. Ha-hahaha!
“Ask me if I’ve read any baby books, not yet. But it has slowed down. I just came from a trip and I’m not on set. Although I have been talking to my manager and said, ‘If there’s a cameo I can do, I want to see myself on screen as the pregnant woman.’ Because when else? Totoo ha. “But siyempre not heavy drama. There are things that I’m choosing not to do because I don’t want that kind of energy for the child.
“So it’s going to be a different chapter I guess but also the same. I’m actually very excited to learn a lot from this because I feel that it can only enhance me as an actor.
“And I’m pretty sure there are work opportunities that maybe were just kind of waiting for me before and now that I’m a mother baka it will open up a new avenue or a new set of job opportunities for me or life opportunities for me. So let’s see. I’ll just let it unfold and I’m excited,” pahayag pa ni Iza Calzado sa nasabing panayam.
Huli siyang napanood sa action-fantasy series ng ABS-CBN na “Darna” at muli ngang ipamamalas ni Iza ang kanyang versatility as an actress.
Ano ang nagustuhan niya sa role niya bilang si Tish sa “K-Love” kung saan isa nga siya sa limang gaganap na K-drama addict sa kuwento, “You always base it naman sa text. Hindi ka o-oo kung hindi mo pa nababasa yung material di ba? So they sent the pilot and when they did, ang swabe the dialogue, there’s kilig, well-written.
“Of course you add to that that there’s a director from L.A, New York, director of Harry Styles and Beyonce. All of these things. But it’s really icing on the cake when you like the material. That’s really the number one thing.
“Then you consider if you can see yourself playing the role. And I was very grateful for the trust that they gave me and then when I heard who the final people were in the cast, the more that I became comfortable and excited working on the project,” paliwanag ni Iza.
