Payo ni Josef Elizalde sa mga nangnenega sa ‘Purificacion’: Panoorin n’yo po muna bago n’yo husgahan

NAKIUSAP ang Vivamax sexy actor na si Josef Elizalde sa madlang pipol na huwag munang husgahan ang pelikula nilang “Purificacion” hangga’t hindi pa nila ito napapanood.
Inaasahang gagawa na naman ng ingay at kontrobersya ang nasabing pelikula dahil sa tema at kuwento nito tungkol sa isang misteryosong pari na maraming itinatagong lihim.
Sa nakaraang virtual mediacon ng “Purificacion”, sinabi ni Josef na marami ring aral na mapupulot sa bago niyang pelikula at hindi lang ito basta sexy-suspense-drama kaya sana raw ay panoorin muna ito ng mga tao bago nila i-judge.
Naniniwala rin ang binata na ang paggawa ng mga ganitong klase ng pelikula ay sumasalamin din sa mga tunay na nangyayari sa paligid at ginagawa lang nila ang trabaho nila bilang artista.
“I guess you cannot please everyone. There will always be people whom you will offend. If it’s not for you, then don’t watch it if you will only get offended. It’s part of our work,” paliwanag ni Josef.
Paliwanag pa niya tungkol sa mga roles na ginagampanan niya sa mga serye at pelikula, “Every movie, every new character that you are going to encounter, there will always be challenges in building your character
“Even if you are already a veteran star, there will still be challenges along the way.
“For me, every project that I do, I get new lessons in terms of acting. In every project that I do, I learn something new and I just carry it on with me to my next assignment,” sey pa niya.

Kuwento pa ni Josef, na gumaganap nga bilang si Ricardo Purificacion, ang batambatang pari na nagsisilbi sa isang baryo na may mga “dark secrets” na itinatago, tinulungan talaga siya ng kanilang direktor na si GB Sampedro.
“I really have high expectations about the movie. Sobrang ganda niya talaga. First time I saw the teaser, I got goose bumps,” sey pa ng binata.
“Nahirapan lang talaga ako sa mga lines. Ang setting ng movie namin sa isang barrio. Medyo malalim talaga ang Tagalog. When you translate the Bible verses into Tagalog lines, nakakabulol din siya,” sey pa ng aktor.
Sa tanong kung ano ang masasabi niya sa mga pari dito sa Pilipinas, “Malaking bagay ang mga priests and pastors. Anyone who spreads the word of God. Catholics, Christians spread awareness and show that without God, we are no one. We are nothing.”
Samantala, anim ang leading lady ni Josef sa “Purificacion”, sina Cara Gonzales, Rob Guinto, Kat Dovey, Stephanie Raz, Ava Mendez at Quinn Carillo.
Abangan n’yo na lang daw kung anu-ano ang mga pinagagawa niya sa mga babaeng kasama niya sa pelikula pero siguradong ikagugulat daw ng Vivamax subscribers ang mga eksena nila sa movie.
Feeling blessed din si Josef na sa kanya ibinigay ng Viva ang “Purificacion”, “I’m so glad that Viva trusts me with this kind of project. I’m really just honored with the blessings that I’ve been getting these past few years, especially with Viva.
“In return, I only do my best so Viva will see that I’m really grateful for what they are giving me.
“Without hesitation. I accepted the project. The first thing Direk GB asked me to do was to cut my hair. Work is work. When I arrived on the set, I go in there as my character and not as Josef.
“Through the years, nasanay na ako sa mga sinasabi nila about me. I just treat it as work. Once the director shouts ‘Cut,’ I return to my real self and departs from the character I play. Kahit ano’ng religion ko siguro, I’ll still be doing sexy films,” diin pa niya.
“I am happy where I am now and I’m very grateful for everything God has given me as His blessings. I start my day with a prayer and end it with a prayer also,” sabi pa ng dating housemate sa “Pinoy Big Brother”.
