‘Squid Game’ gumawa na naman ng bagong record; humakot ng nominasyon sa 2022 Emmy Awards
Isang eksena sa Korean series na ‘Squid Game’
NAKAPAGTALA na naman ng bagong record ang Korean series na “Squid Game” matapos itong mapasama sa listahan ng mga nominado sa Emmy Awards 2022.
Pinatunayan na naman ng nasabing K-drama na hindi lang basta entertaining ang kuwento at tema nito kundi may karapatan din itong makatanggap ng pagkilala at parangal.
Kung hindi kami nagkakamali, sa kasaysayan ng Emmys, ito pa lang ang unang pagkakataon na ang isang non-English drama series ay napasama sa kanilang nominees.
Nominado sa kategoryang Outstanding Drama Series ang “Squid Game” kung saan makakalaban nito ang “Stranger Things”, “Better Call Saul”, “Euphoria”, “Ozark”, “Severance,” “Succession” at “Yellowjackets.”
May 13 pang nomination ang nakuha ng nasabing Koream series, kabilang na ang Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series para kay Lee Jung-jae; Park Hae-soo at O Yeong-su for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, Jung Ho-yeon for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series at Lee You-mi para sa Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series.

“I feel so happy and honored that Squid Game became the first non-English language series to be nominated for the Emmy Awards.

Ang “Squid Game” ay tungkol sa mga Koreanong lubog sa utang kaya napilitang sumali sa isang game kung saan isa sa kanila ang magwawagi ng napakalaking halaga habang ang lahat ng matatalo ay mamatay.
“With production at a historic high, the Academy has received a record number of Emmy submissions this season,” sabi naman ng Television Academy CEO na si Frank Scherma.
“As we prepare for the entertainment industry’s biggest night, we are thrilled to honor the innovators, creators, performers and storytellers who are propelling this platinum age of television,” aniya pa.
