Pangarap ni Ice Seguerra na makapagdirek natupad na: Sa totoo lang, akala ko hindi na magkakatotoo

SA wakas, natupad na rin ang isa sa matagal nang pinapangarap ng singer-actor na si Ice Seguerra — ang maging film director.
Masayang ibinalita ng OPM icon at hitmaker na natapos na niya ang kauna-unahan niyang short documentary film na “Dito Ka Lang.”
Ibinahagi ni Ice sa social media ang tungkol dito kasabay ng paghikayat sa publiko na panoorin ang “Dito Ka Lang” na tatalakay sa kanyang mental health journey.
“I’s always been my dream to become a film director. Matagal ko nang pangarap ‘to but life got in the way. Sa totoo lang, akala ko hindi na magkakatotoo.
“But life gives us many surprises and sabi nga nila, if you manifest your aspirations and continue to work on it, it will happen,” ang caption ni Ice sa ipinost niyang teaser ng “Dito Ka Lang” sa Instagram.

Ayon sa asawa ni Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Chairperson Liza Dino, mapapanood ang “Dito Ka Lang” via Zoom sa June 26, 5 p.m. kung saan magkakaroon din ng panel discussion after ng screening.
“This is really important to me and I want to share it with all of you,” ang pahabol pang mensahe ni Ice.
Una niyang inamin na nagkaroon siya ng depression at matinding anxiety noong 2019 at nang sumunod na taon nagdesisyon siyang sumailalim sa mental health treatment.
Ayon pa kay Ice, 17 years na siyang may depression at natutunan na niyang tanggapin na may mga araw talaga na makakaramdam siya ng hindi maganda.
Sa naunang post ng singer-songwriter, nagbahagi si Ice ng isang quote tungkol sa self-doubt.
Ang nakasaad dito, “Self-doubt can be an ally. This is because it serves as an indicator of inspiration. It reflects love, love of something we dream of doing, and desire, desire to do it. If you find yourself asking (and your friends), ‘Am I really a writer? Am I really an artist?’ chances are you are.
“The counterfeit innovator is wildly self-confident. The real one is scared to death.”
Ito naman ang inilagay niya sa caption, “As artists, we are all familiar with the whole concept of uncertainty. Nabubuhay tayo nang walang kasiguraduhan, just to pursue our passion.
“When I was younger, mas matapang ako to follow my dreams. Pero di pa rin ganon katapang kasi alam kong may responsibilidad akong kailangan gampanan. But as I got older, I became comfortable.
“I’ve shielded myself from failure and pain, and in doing so, I built a huge wall. Looking back, I’ve come to realize that it’s the worst mistake to make when you’re an artist.
“I have resisted my soul’s growth in exchange of being ‘safe. I stopped dreaming big coz I was afraid to fail. I cannot do that anymore. I can’t let fear stop me from being who I really am,” ang kabuuan ng mensahe ni Ice Seguerra.
