‘Squid Game’ ng South Korea wagi ng 3 awards sa 2022 Screen Actors Guild

NAKAHAMIG ng tatlong awards ang hit Korean drama Netflix series na “Squid Game” mula sa katatapos lamang na Screen Actors Guild (SAG) nitong nagdaang Linggo.
Waging best actor si Lee Jung-jae habang best actress naman si Jung Ho-yeon sa drama category. Si Lee Jung-jae ang gumanap na Seong Gi-hun o ang Player 456, habang si Jung Ho-yeon naman ang nag-play sa karakter ni Kang Sae-byeok o Player 76.
Ayon sa ulat ng Korean news portal na Soompi, ito raw ang unang pagkakataon na may nanalong Korean actors sa nasabing kategorya.
Sina Lee Jung-jae at Jung Ho-yeon din ang unang Asian nationality na nakapag-uwi ng nasabing awards, base pa sa report ng Soompi.
Naging emosyonal si Jung Ho-yeon nang magbigay na ng speech sa natanggap na pagkilala. Pinasalamatan niya ang lahat ng taong nagbigay sa kanya ng chance na makapasok sa showbiz. Aniya ang “Squid Game” ang kauna-unahang acting project niya makalipas ang ilang taong pagiging model.
“First and foremost, thank you so much. I have sat many times watching you on the big screen dreaming of one day becoming an actor. I just wanna say thank you so much,” sabi ng aktres sa salitang Korean.
“Thank you (for making) me dream and open the door for me and I love you my ‘Squid Game’ crew,” aniya pa.

Mensahe naman ni Lee Jung-jae sa lahat ng mga nanood sa kanilang serye mula sa iba’t ibang panig ng mundo, “Thank you so so much, SAG Awards. And thank you for the global audience for all of your love for ‘Squid Game’ and thank you, ‘Squid Game’ team.”
Bukod sa best actress at best actor award, naiuwi rin ng “Squid Game” ang Best Stunt Ensemble for a Comedy, or Drama series.
Kamakailan lang ay ibinalita ng direktor ng “Squid Game” na si Hwang Dong Hyuk na tuloy na ang second at third season ng programa.
“I’m currently in the midst of discussions with Netflix about Season 2 and Season 3.
“I think we’ll be reaching some sort of conclusion to our discussions soon. We know that many people are waiting, so everyone is working hard to prepare for the next season with a positive outlook,” sabi ng Korean director.
