Alden may mga childhood memory na ayaw nang balikan: Because it was so painful…
Alden Richards
“When I started doing concerts, all of it was about Alden Richards, and si Richard Faulkerson was just a part of it.
Siya lang ‘yung nandoon kasi it’s really more about looking back,” aniya pa.
“There are certain childhood memories that I’ve decided not to look back and not to look into anymore because it was so painful, but I think that’s what gives life color, e.
“Hindi lang naman ang buhay puro kasiyahan, hindi lahat happiness and celebrations and victories. Of course, what makes it more colorful are the painful moments, ‘yung mga rejections, failures, you lose someone, ‘yan ‘yung medyo mahirap balikan na moments sa buhay ko,” lahad pa ng binata.
Patuloy pa niyang kuwento, “But I’ve decided to share with you because I know it’s gonna be worth it.
“Iba kasi ‘yung memory kapag ‘yung memory mo wala ka doon sa actual place but with this concert, pumunta ako ulit, bumalik ako sa lahat ng mga lugar where I used to be.
“And somehow, it makes me really proud na from a simple boy who grew up in the province, who used to dream, who used to look up to other people because this boy wanted to be like those people.
“Parang nale-legitimize ‘yung success na narating ko because of those moments, and I need that. Kumabaga ‘yung documentary shoot part was also after eleven years in the industry, kailangan mo naman silang balikan.

“Kailangan mong balikan kung saan ka nagsimula, where you’ve been, what’s your life like before, ‘yung mga ganung moments.
“I needed that, kailangan mangyari ‘yun sakin at someone and I guess, it’s really at that moment, when we shot the parts of the documentary, halo-halong emotions.
“But at the end of the day, mas naging buo ako. I feel more in touch with myself because of those happenings.
“I can’t wait for the people to see it. I just want the people to see the beautiful project that we created out of the life of Richard Reyes Faulkerson, Jr.,” mahabang paliwanag pa ni Alden.
Dagdag pa niya, “The storytelling will be determined by the performances of the concert but it’s really more of … what do I stand for. The ‘Forward’ concert is a purpose concert. I’m so proud of this project.”
