Maxene may pa-trivia tungkol kina Francis M at St. Francis of Assisi: He always had a sincere love for animals
MAY pa-trivia ang aktres na si Maxene Magalona tungkol sa kanyang amang si Francis Magalona na may konek sa pagiging animal lover nito noong nabubuhay pa.
Idinaan ni Maxene sa kanyang Instagram account ang pag-alala sa ika-57 kaarawan ng yumaong ama kalakip ang kanilang old family photo.
Aniya, talagang kinuha ang pangalan ng tinaguriang Master Rapper kay Saint Francis of Assisi, ang patron saint ng mga hayop. Kasabay din ng kaarawan nito ang kapistahan ng nasabing santo.
Sey pa ni Maxene, tulad ni Saint Francis, grabe rin ang pagmamahal ng kanyang ama sa mga hayop lalo na sa mga aso. Noong buhay pa ni Francis M, meron itong alagang dachshund na si Coolie at isang whippet na si Phaedra.
Caption ni Maxene sa kanyang IG post, “Fun fact: Did you know that my Dad was named after St. Francis of Assisi who was the patron saint of animals? He was born on October 4 which is the feast day of St. Francis.”
Patuloy pa ng aktres, “Growing up, he always had a sincere love for animals and had many pets like a Dachshund named Coolie and a Whippet named Phaedra.
“Although I think our family will agree that his favorite pet was Gringo, his Chihuahua who is sitting on his lap in this photo,” aniya pa.
Pag-alala pa ni Maxene, hindi raw basta ordinaryong aso si Gringo, ito ay, “fierce and feisty but the most loyal companion ever. He never left my Dad’s side.”
“On the day he passed away, he took his last breath as he circled around Papa’s feet and laid himself to rest beside his favorite human,” sabi pa ng aktres.
At bilang pakikiisa sa World Animal Day (Oct. 4), ibinahagi rin ni Maxene ang panawagan ng PETA Asia na isang Asia-based animal rights group para sa lahat ng pet lovers.
Aniya, “PETA Asia is encouraging all of us to treat our animal friends with more love and compassion.
“If us humans are going through a difficult time in the world today, can you just try to imagine the pain and suffering that animals have to go through every single day on this planet?
“Just try. And see how your perspective about animals shifts if you can just try to put yourselves in their paws,” aniya pa.
