Tugade: Walang toll fee increase habang may pandemya

Walang ipatutupad na toll fee increase sa mga expressways sa bansa habang may pandemya sa COVID-19.
Ito ang tiniyak Transportation Secretary Art Tugade sa mga motrista matapos ang signing ang Supplemental Toll Operations Agreement (STOA) para sa Pasig River Expressway (PAREX) sa pagitan ng Department of Transportation at San Miguel Corporation.
Ayon kay Tugade, naiintindihan naman niya ang hirit ng mga tollway operators na mag-increase ng toll fee para maipagpatuloy ang operasyon pero kinakailangan naman na protektahan ang interes ng publiko.
Sinabi pa ni Tugade na kailangan na balansehin ang pangangailangan ng mga investor at ng taumbayan.
Nabatid na ang 19.4-kilometer, six-lane elevated expressway na PAREX ay magko-konekta sa Radial Road-10 sa Manila, EDSA, at C5.
