That may have also precipitated the deterioration of his health.

“He was an admired mentor, adviser, colleague, friend and loving son to his mother, and a decent man who nurtured professional and personal integrity to the end,” pahayag ng veteran actress sa panayam ng ABS-CBN.

Salamat po sa tiwala and may you rest in peace,” pagbibigay-pugay ng singer-actress.

“He was always larger than life and we feel his absence terribly. We thank you for all of the love and support you’ve shown Tito and our family over the years,” pahayag ni Kat.

He also directed musicals like “Katy” and “Chinoy.”

Samantala, nagpaabot din ang Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), sa pangunguna ni Chairperson Liza Dino, ng pakikiramay sa mga naulila ng veteran entertainment writer.

“The Film Development Council of the Philippines mourns the passing of industry veteran Mr. Nestor U. Torre, Jr. on April 6 at the age of 78.

“He was one of the highly respected columnists in the country for his extensive knowledge and experience in the entertainment industry.

“He also left behind his filmography with directing, writing, and acting credits under his name. Some of the films he directed are the ’70s classics “Crush Ko Si Sir” and “Ang Isinilang Ko Ba’y Kasalanan?”

“His remarkable contributions to the entertainment industry will always be remembered.
