GINUNITA ng Kapuso Comedy genius na si Michael V. ang death anniversary ngayong araw ng kaibigan niyang si Master Rapper Francis Magalona.
Sa pamamagitan ng kanyang Instagram account, inalala ni Bitoy ang pagkamatay ni Francis M at ang napakaganda nilang samahan noon sa Kapuso noontime show na “Eat Bulaga.”
Ibinahagi ng TV host-comedian-director ang litrato ng singer-songwriter at nilagyan ng caption na, “It was 12 years ago that Kiko passed away at 12pm.”
Aniya, pakiramdam niya noong pumanaw si Kiko (palayaw ni Francis) ay may namatay ding bahagi ng longest-running noontime show sa bansa.
“This photo was taken on October 25, 2008 during his last performance sa Eat Bulaga. Lahat kami expected na babalik na s’ya sa regular hosting after that set. Lahat kami umasa. At lahat kami nabigo.
“I think a part of EB died nu’ng nawala s’ya. Pero a big part of him stayed with all of us.”
“Still missing you, my brother even after all these years,” mensahe pa ng Kapuso comedian.
Pinusuan at ni-like naman ng maraming celebrities at netizens ang post ni Bitoy para kay Kiko, kabilang na ang mga kapwa Dabarkads na sina Ryan Agoncillo at Pia Guanio.
Samantala, nagbigay din ng pa-tribute ang isa sa mga anak ni Francis M na si Maxene Magalona sa pamamagitan ng isa pang throwback photo ng ama.
Sey niya sa caption, “Today and everyday, I honor this man. Not only for his limitless talent as an artist but more importantly, for his incredibly kind heart as a human being.
“He was far from perfect and made a lot of mistakes in his life but I saw with my own eyes how he strived to always do and be better.
“No matter how many times he tripped and fell, he would always dust himself off and get back up again.
“He had a lot of flaws and negative traits but was never afraid to show his true self. He was a famous artist but never forgot that he was just human and treated others with respect and equanimity.
“It was through him that I saw how even though there are so many faces and so many races, everyone is equal in this kaleidoscope world.
“Everyone is equal in God’s eyes. Hope you’re having a blast in heaven, Pop! 12 years later, I can still feel your spirit guiding me,” ang kabuuang message ni Maxene.
Sumakabilang-buhay si Francis Magalona noong March 6, 2009 dahil sa leukemia o cancer of the blood.
