Parang, ‘yun bang walang mapagsidlan ang saya ng puso ko na itong teammate kong si Boyet (asawa niya), ano kami, we are a team, we made this possible for her,” ang simulang pahayag ni Dimples sa nakaraang episode ng “Magandang Buhay”.
“Kasi, much as I want to be with Callie every step of the way, I can’t be there for her. But to know that she can handle herself this way and that she cares for other people, makes me very proud as a parent.
Every time I see Callie I feel like I’ve done something right,” chika pa ng aktres.
Last December lang ni-launch ang rattan bag collection ni Callie pero, “It really started po talaga around Feb 2019. So I started it super long ago po tapos weird because it only really materialized po during the pandemic, which you wouldn’t expect,” sey ni Callie.
“I’m okay with it naman po, that it took really long because considering that I was only 15 or 16 then, and I had a lot of people say na, ‘Oh, sorry. We can’t supply you if you don’t work for a company.’ When I told them that I was 15 lang or 16, they were like, ‘No, sorry. We can’t do that,'” kuwento pa niya sa ilang challenges na pinagdaanan niya.
I guess because Callie, the way she wanted to go about things is that she really wanted to build it on her own.
“Parang iniwasan niya rin, na I won’t be there beside her and sabi nga niya, ‘Mama, you know, some of the suppliers they’re not paying attention to me maybe because I’m young.’
“Tapos sabi ko, ‘Do you need help? Do you want me to be there?’ And sasabihin naman niya, ‘No, ma, no. I want to do this on my own.’ I’m hovering what she’s doing.
“Feeling ko, for kids, when we let them be on their own, and we let them decide and practice for them to parang have their own stand on things, it’s easier for them to maneuver and really express themselves,” pagbabahagi pa ni Dimples.
Mensahe naman ni Callie sa kanyang parents, “I’m super grateful, like, beyond words po. I think I just translate it through hugs or handwritten letters.
“It really is beyond words na they really took the time to—out of their busy schedules, especially Ma—to help me, and even if they don’t directly help me, they’re just there. Whenever I encounter any problems, they’re there to console me. I’m grateful for everything,” pahayag pa ng batang negosyante.
