Velasco sinabing sisiguruhing may pondo para sa Covid-19 program sa bicam ng 2021 budget

Sisiguruhin ng Kamara de Representantes na sa bicameral conference para sa panukalang 2021 national budget ay may sapat na pondo ang gubyerno para maipatupad ang programa nito laban sa pandemya ng coronavirus, ayon pahayag ni Speaker Lord Allan Velasco ngayong Huwebes.

Sinabi ito ni Velasco matapos na ipasa ng Senado sa ikatlo at pinal na pagbasa ang panukalang P4.5-trillion 2021 national budget.

Sinabi ni Velasco na ang Kamara ay nakapagbuo na ng contingent para sa bicam na kinabibilangan ng 21 na mambabatas mula sa iba’t ibang partido ng mababang kapulungan.

“These representatives will make sure there will be enough funds for the government’s COVID-19 response, especially the procurement of vaccines for an initial 20 million poor Filipinos and eventually for at least 60 million of our population,” ani  Velasco sa pahayag.

Idinagdag niya na sisiguruhin ng Kamara na may sapat ding pondo para sa rehabilitasyon ng mga komunidad na sinalanta ng bagyong  Rolly at Ulysses.

Ganundin, sinabi ni Velasco na may pondo para maipagpatuloy ang priority programs ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte gaya ng “Build, Build, Build.”

“Our goal is to get the 2021 General Appropriations Bill on the President’s desk for his signature before the year ends, so we can prevent a reenacted budget that will not bode well for the economy and the entire nation,” dagdag niya.

Matapos maipasa ng Senado ang budget bill, magtitipon ang mga kinatawan ng Kamara at Senado para sa isang bicam conference kung saan pag-usapan ang mga pagkakaiba ng kanilang mga bersyon ng panukalang badyet para mapag-isa ang mga iyon.
