Budget para sa laptop ng public school teachers hiniling

UMAPELA si Bagong Henerasyon Rep. Bernadette Herrera sa Malacañang na isama sa 2021 national budget ang pambili ng laptop para sa 880,000 guro sa pampublikong paaralan.
“We hope that a budget for the purchase of laptops for all teachers in public schools will be included in the 2021 National Expenditure Program to be submitted by Malacañang to Congress in July or August,” ani Herrera.
“We have to make sure that our teachers are equipped with at least the most basic technology tool for online teaching, which is a laptop.”
Sinabi ni Herrera na lalong naging importante ang pagkakaroon ng laptop ng mga guro sa new normal ng edukasyon.
Tinatayang aabot sa P27 bilyon ang kakailanganin upang mabigyan ng laptop ang bawat guro sa pampublikong paaralan.
Malaki man ang gagastusin sinabi ni Herrera na tama itong gastusan.
“By having a laptop, teachers can enhance the curriculum, providing students with extensive research opportunities, access to up-to-date information and many other learning benefits.”
Ayon sa DepEd, 190,574 laptop ang maibibigay sa mga guro o 22 porsyento ng teaching force nito.
Inaasahan na isusumite ng Malacañang sa Kongreso ang P4.3 trilyong budget para sa 2021 pagkatapos ng State of the Nation Address ni Pangulong Duterte sa Hulyo.
