Malalaking negosyante singilin sa buwis bago ang online sellers

UMAPELA si Ang Probinsyano Rep. Alfred Delos Santos sa Bureau of Internal Revenue na ipagpaliban ang plano nitong deadline sa pagpaparehistro ng mga online sellers at pagbabayad ng buwis sa Hulyo 31.

“While we are cognizant of the role of the BIR to enforce tax laws and collect taxes to boost government coffers, we cannot hard to set aside the dire situation of small businesses and those who lost their jobs who are trying to make a living by selling online,” ani Delos Santos.

Ipinalabas ng BIR noong Hunyo 10 ang Revenue Memorandum Circular No. 60-2020 para sa pagpaparehistro ng mga online sellers at pagbabayad ng mga ito ng buwis sa kanilang ibinentang produkto.

“We are living in extraordinary times and I strongly feel that the memorandum is ill-timed. For humanitarian consideration po, ang gusto po sana natin ay i-delay pansamantala ng BIR ang pagpaptupad ng MC 60-2020,” saad ng solon.

Sinabi ni Delos Santos na makabubuti rin kung kokonsulta ang BIR sa Department of Trade and Industry para matukoy ang estado ng mga maliliit na online sellers na karamihan ay nawalan ng trabaho.

“What we need to focus on is how to help those who lost their jobs and livelihood find ways on how to recover.”

Kung seryoso umano ang BIR sa pangangalap ng buwis ang dapat nitong unahin ay ang mga malalaking negosyante.

“Itong mga online sellers natin pantawid sa pang araw-araw lang yung kinikita. Yun ang main point ng pagsisimula nila ng online businesses, at kung ‘di naman sila aabot sa threshold amount ay wala rin naman silang babayaran na tax,” dagdag pa ng solon.

“Unahin na muna ng BIR ang pagbabayad ng wastong buwis ng mga malalaking negosyo.”
