Dapat bayaran sa loob ng 6 na buwan, P30B utang ng Phoenix

MAHIGIT sa P30 bilyon ang utang ng Phoenix Petroleum sa 11 bangko na dapat umanong bayaran sa loob ng unang anim na buwan ng 2020.

Ayon sa local website na bilyonaryo.com.ph, ang P30.167 bilyon na utang ng Phoenix ay mas mataas ng 40 porsyento sa P21.479 bilyon short-term loans ng kompanya noong 2019.

Bago matapos ang taon, ang Phoenix ay may P20 bilyon pang utang na dapat bayaran. Dahil dito, umaabot sa  P50 bilyon sa  P64 bilyon na utang ng Phoenix ang depat bayaran ngayong taon.

Ang Phoenix Petroleum ay pag-aari ni businessman Dennis Uy.

Dalawang  government banks, ang Development Bank of the Philippines at Land Bank of the Philippines, ang may tig-P2 bilyon na short-term loans sa Phoenix.

Ang walong iba pang short-term lenders ng Phoenix ay ang BDO Unibank – P2 bilyon (total P9.488 bilyon); Maybank Philippines – P1.2 bilyon; Asia United Bank – P1 bilyon;  Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. – P1 bilyon; Union Bank of the Philippines – P1 bilyon; Robinsons Bank Corp. – P1 bilyon; United Coconut Planters Bank – P712 milyon; at CTBC Bank – P443 milyon

Ang Phoenix, na may mahigit sa 700 retail stations sa bansa, ay nagtala ng mas mababang kita noong 2019  kumpara sa  P2.77 bilyon kita ng  noong 2018.
