IPATATAWAG ng Kamara de Representantes ang National Telecommunication Commission upang pagpaliwanagin ito sa ginawang pagtalikod sa kanilang salita na bibigyan ng provisional authority ang ABS-CBN.
Ayon kay House Committee on Legislative Franchises vice chairman at Isabela Rep. Tonypet Albano maaaring maglabas ng show cause order ang komite laban sa mga opisyal ng NTC.
“Nakakalungkot at nakabahala ang in-issue ng NTC. We have been assured in Congress, in Committee hearing nonetheless, that they would give a provisional authority. At best they should have consulted Congress, they have the legislative power,” ani Albano.
Noong Marso sinabi ng NTC na susundin nito ang opinyon ng Department of Justice na maaaring bigyan ng PA ang ABS-CBN habang dinidinig ang prangkisa nito.
“What we are planning, we’ll definitely send a show cause order to NTC explaining how can they negate the power of the Congress given by the Constitution itself,” dagdag pa ni Albano.
Hindi naman inaalis ni Albano ang posibilidad na mayroong maghain ng panukala upang i-abolish ang NTC.
