DSWD nagsimula nang mamigay ng social pension
NAGSIMULA na ang Department of Social Welfare and Development sa pagbibigay ng anim na buwang social pension ng mga mahihirap na senior citizens.
Sa panayam sa radyo, sinabi ni DSWD spokesperson Director Irene Dumalo na nagsimula na ang paglilipat ng pondo ng mga Regional Offices nito sa mga lokal na pamahalaan.
May mga lokal na pamahalaan na nakapagbigay na social pension na nagkakahalaga ng P3,000 o P500 kada buwan.
Umabot na umano sa 140,000 mahihirap na senior citizens ang nakatanggap na nito.
Ang social pension ay dadalhin sa mga bahay ng senior citizens.
Aabot sa 3.7 milyong senior citizen ang kuwalipikado sa social pension.
