PH Arena tatanggap na ng COVID-19 patients next week

SIMULA sa susunod na linggo ay tatanggap na ng mga pasyenteng may coronavirus disease o Covid-19 ang Philippine Arena, ayon kay National Task Force on COVID-19 chief implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr.

Tinatayang 300 pasyente na may mild symptoms at 300 health workers ang kayang tanggapin ng pinakamalaking indoor arena sa buong mundo.

Gayunman, sabi ni Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) President at CEO Vince Dizon, posibleng kayanin pa nito ang 2,000 pasyente.

Bago pa magsimulang tumanggap ng pasyente, kinakailangan pang baguhin ang mga tents na gagamitin para sa siguridad mga gagamit.

“Dahil y’ung requirement ng DOH ang sinusunod natin, most probably ‘yung model natin sa Rizal Memorial ang gagamitin natin, so papalitan natin ‘yung partition. Hindi pwede ang tela kasi kumakapit ang virus doon. Papalitan natin ng acetate.” ani Galvez.

Mga pasyente mula sa Quezon City, Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela, at Bulacan ang target na pagsilbihan ng Philippine Arena.

Ang Philippine Arena ay pag-mamay-ari ng Iglesia ni Kristo na siyang nag-alok nito para gawing quarantine facility.

Bukod sa Philippine Arena, balak din ng gobyernong i-convert ang ilang lugar tulad ng Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Rizal Memorial Complex, at ang World Trade Center para gawing quarantine facility.
