TINATAYANG 10,000 personal protective equipment o PPEs ang maihahanda matapos mangako ang ilang apparel exporters na magsagawa ng lokal na produksyon, ayon yan kay Inter-Agency Task Force spokesperson at Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles.
Sa isang virtual briefing, sinabi ni Nograles na ito ay posible sa pamamagitan ng suporta mula sa Confederation of Wearable Exporters of the Philippines (CONWEP).
Aniya, darating ang mga raw materials ngayong linggo at magsisimula na ang produksyon pagkatapos ng Holy Week.
“Once operational, these factories will be able to produce 10,000 PPEs a day.” dagdag pa ni Nograles.
Ang mga miyembro ng CONWEP ay nagpropose ng disenyo ng mga PPEs na siyang inaprubahan ng Department of Health at ng Philippine General Hospital.
Dahil sa pagkakaroon ng shortage ng mga PPEs, ilang mga ospital ang humingi ng donasyon para sa mga PPE na gagamitin sa laban kontra COVID-19.
