Pilipinas wagi agad sa Miss Universe 2024 bago pa ang coronation night

HINDI pa man nagsisimula ang grand coronation night para sa pinakaaabangang Miss Universe 2024 pageant, ay nagwagi na agad ang Pilipinas!

Itinanghal na “Best Host Tour Country” ang bansa sa naganap na preliminary show para sa naturang international beauty pageant na ginaganap ngayon sa Mexico.

Sa lahat ng bansang binisita ng reigning queen na si Sheynnis Palacios, ibinigay ng Miss Universe Organization (MUO) sa Pilipinas ang titulong Best Host.

Tinanggap ni Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) President Jonas Gaffud ang award sa national costume show at preliminary competition na ginanap sa Arena CDMX, Mexico City, Mexico kahapon (November 15, Manila time).

“True to our famed Filipino Hospitality, the Philippines was awarded Best Host Tour Country by the (MUO)…an unexpected yet welcome feather in the cap of the organization that rolled out the red carpet and led the most touching and heartwarming welcome for (Sheynnis Palacios) during her visit to the Philippines,” ang nakasulat sa social media post ng MUPH.

Hinding-hindi makakalimutan ni Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios ang pagbisita niya sa Pilipinas kasama ang MUO officers na sina Olivia Quido-Co at Mario Bucaro dahil sa napakainit na pagtanggap sa kanya ng mga Pinoy na ang ilan ay may hawak pang bandera ng Nicaragua.

Narito ang iba pang special awards na ipinamigay ng Miss Universe Organization during the preliminary show.

Miss Congeniality: Jenelle Thongs, Trinidad and Tobago

Best Skin Award: Stephanie Cam, Honduras

Best National Director: Denis Dávila, Miss Universe Canada

Best National Pageant: Nguyễn Thị Hương Ly for Miss Universe Vietnam

Beyond The Crown: Yizette Cifredo for Miss Universe Puerto Rico

Pasok din ang half-Filipina, half-Bahraini beauty queen na si Shereen Ahmed sa seven silver finalist para sa “Voice For Change” competition kasama sina Anouk Eman ng Aruba, Cayman Islands’ Raegan Rutty, Eritrea’s Snit Tewoldemedhin, Matilda Wirtavuori ng Finland, Guinea’s Saran Bah, at ang bet ng Thailand na si Suchata Chuangsri.

Ang mga gold winners naman ay ang represe tative ng Bolivia na si Juliana Barrientos, Cambodia’s Davin Prasath, at si Miss Guatemala Ana Gabriela Villanueva.

Magaganap bukas ng umaga (Manila time) ang finals night ng Miss Universe 2024 sa Arena CDMX, Mexico City. May live telecast ito sa Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, Metro Channel, at iWantTFC.

Sakaling masungkit ng bet ng Pilipinas na si Chelsea Manalo ang titulo at korona siya na ang magiging ikalimang Miss Universe ng Pilipinas kasunod nina Catriona Gray (2018), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), Margie Moran (1973), at Gloria Diaz (1969).
