Rizal Sports Complex, Philsports ipagagamit ng PSC para sa COVID patients

Handang ipahiram ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) ang mga pasilidad nito para tulungan ang gobyerno sa laban nito kontra COVID-19.

Ito ang kinumpirma ni PSC commissioner William “Butch” Ramirez na sinabing maaaring gamitin ng Department of Health (DoH) ang Rizal Memorial Sports Complex sa Maynila at ang Philsports Complex sa Pasig City bilang
temporary medical facilities.

“They (Rizal Sports Complex at Philsports) are government facilities so it we were already anticipating that it might come to that point,” sa ni Ramirez.

Karamihan sa mga pambansang atleta na nanunuluyan sa mga pasilidad ng PSC ay nakauwi na sa kani-kanilang tahanan. Gayunman, tinitiyak ni Senior Executive Assistant and National Training Director Marc Velasco na hindi makakahalubilo ng mga pasyente ang mga iilang atleta na kasalukuyang naninirahan doon at hindi na makauwi pa sa kani-kanilang probinsiya.

“These times call for unselfish patriotism. These times call for everyone to be heroes, even. Let us step up to the plate, so to speak. This is us, the sporting community stepping up to bat,” dagdag pa ni Ramirez.

Ani pa ni Ramirez, magsasagawa sila ng masusing disinfection at puspusang paglilinis bago muling ipagamit sa mga atleta ang mga pasilidad ng PSC sa pagtatapos ng quarantine.
