Posibleng travel ban sa SoKor pag-aaralan dahil sa banta ng COVID-19

SINABI ng Palasyo na pag-aaralan ang posibilidad na magpalabas ng travel ban sa South Korea sa harap naman ng mabilis na pagtaas ng local community transmission ng novel corona virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) sa nasabing bansa kung saan umabot na sa daang-daan ang mga kaso.

Sinabi ni Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles na inaasahan itong tatalakayin sa pagpupulong ng Inter Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

“Sa ngayon, wala pang desisyon ‘no. Pag-uusapan ito sa task force. Isa ito sa mga topics na pag-uusapan. Ia-asses natin iyong situation. At based on existing protocols natin, pati recommendation from the WHO, iyon po iyong magiging basis natin for making a decision if ever ‘no. But ayaw kong pangunahan kung ano iyong magiging desisyon ng task force,” sabi ni Nograles.

Idinagdag ni Nograles na wala pa namang ulat na may Pinoy na nagpositiba sa COVID-19 sa South Korean.

“But again, the DFA and the DOH and DOLE ay nakikipag-ugnayan sa ating mga counterparts doon sa South Korea para continuously ma-monitor natin iyong situation doon,” ayon pa kay Nograles.
