Kai Sotto kasama sa Basketball Without Borders Global Camp

KABILANG si Kai Sotto sa mga lalahok sa gaganaping Basketball Without Borders (BWB) Global Camp sa Chicago, Illinois, USA.

Ito ay matapos inanunsyo ng National Basketball Association at International Basketball Federation (FIBA) ang top 64 boys at girls mula sa 34 bansa at rehiyon na bibiyahe sa Chicago.

Ang nasabing event ay isasagawa sa Pebrero 14 hanggang 16 sa Quest Multisport bilang bahagi ng NBA All-Star 2020.

Ang 7-foot-2 at 17-anyos na si Sotto ay kasalukuyang nasa listahan ng ESPN ng Top 100 high school players sa 2020 class.

Magsisilbing coach ng mga top high school age campers mula sa Africa, Americas, Asia at Europe sina 2020 NBA All-Star Pascal Siakam (Toronto Raptors; Cameroon; BWB Africa 2012), Davis Bertāns (Washington Wizards; Latvia), Tacko Fall (Boston Celtics; Senegal) at 2017-18 NBA All-Rookie First Team member Lauri Markkanen (Chicago Bulls; Finland; BWB Europe 2014; BWB Global 2015).

Makakasama nina Siakam, Bertāns, Fall at Markkanen ang mga dating WNBA player na sina Ashley Battle, Michele Van Gorp at Ebony Hoffman at ilang piling manlalaro na kalahok sa NBA All-Star 2020.

Magsisilbi ring BWB Global coaches sina Chicago Bulls assistant coach Karen Stack Umlauf, Milwaukee Bucks assistant coaches Vin Baker, Josh Longstaff at Ben Sullivan, at Chicago Sky director of player development John Azzinaro.

Ang BWB ay ang global basketball development and community outreach program ng NBA at FIBA at ito ay sinalihan na nang mahigit 3,600 katao mula sa 133 bansa at teritoryo magmula pa noong 2001 kung saan 69 dating campers ay na-draft sa NBA o pinapirma bilang mga free agents. Ang NBA at FIBA ay nakapagsagawa na nang 61 BWB camps sa 38 lungsod sa 30 bansa sa anim na kontinente.
