BABAWASAN ng Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office ang tulong pinansyal na ibinibigay nito sa mga pasyente.
Sa isang anunsyo, sinabi ng PCSO na magpapatupad ito ng pagbabago sa individual assistance na ibinibigay sa mga pasyente simula Enero 1 bilang pagsunod sa Universal Health Care Law (RA 11223).
Ayon sa RA 11223, 40 porsyento ng Charity Fund ng PCSO ay dapat nitong ibigay sa Philippine Health Insurance Corp.
“With this there will be adjustments in the amount of assistance for hospitalization, chemotherapy and dialysis in order for the Agency to respond to request for medical financial assistance,” saad ng PCSO.
Ang iba pang tulong pinansyal na wala sa nabanggit ay hindi na mabibigyan ng tulong ng PCSO.
“All assistance to be extended by PhilHealth already incorporates the PCSO’s financial assistance,” dagdag pa ng ahensya. “We appeal for your understanding and continous support for the PCSO games and programs.”
Ang Charity Fund ng PCSO ay galing sa taya sa mga palaro nito gaya ng lotto.
Sa bawat P1 itinataya sa lotto, 30 sentimos ang napupunta sa Charity Fund.
