SARAH LAHBATI pinaaaresto uli ng GMA 7
NAGSAMPA ang mga abogado ni GMA Films President Annette Gozon-Abrogar ng motion para sa pagpapawalang-bisa at forfeiture ng P10,000 piyansa ni Sarah Lahbati sa Branch 59 ng Regional Trial Court ng Makati nitong nakaraang July 25.
Ang motion na pinayagan ni Asst. City Prosecutor Dalig ay hiniling din ang paghain ng warrant of arrest para sa aktres.
Ito’y matapos na muling umalis ng bansa si Sarah lulan ng flight PR 102 papuntang Los Angeles noong July 16, apat na araw lang ang nakalipas mula nang maaprubahan ang kaniyang piyansa – nang walang pahintulot ng korte.
Nakasaad sa Section 23 of the Rules of Criminal Procedure na ang isang nasasakdal na nagpiyansa ay maaaring muling maaresto kahit pa walang warrant of arrest kung ito ay magtatangkang umalis ng bansa nang walang paalam sa korte habang patuloy ang kaso.
Ayon dito, “an accused released on bail may be re-arrested without the necessity of a warrant if he attempts to depart from the Philippines without permission of the court where the case is pending.”
