Bossing, Coco, Vice, Aga, Iza, Juday bakbakan sa 2019 MMFF; pelikula nina nina Nora at Marical naetsapwera

LIGWAK ang pelikula ng Superstar na si Nora Aunor at ng Diamond Star na si Maricel Soriano sa 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival.

Kanina, inihayag na ng MMFF Executive Committee sa pangunguna ni MMDA Chairman Danny Lim ang last four entries na kukumpleto sa Magic 8 ngayong taon. Present din sa announcement ang MMFF 2019 Selection Committee head na si National Artist Bienvenido Lumbera na ginanap sa Club Filipino.

Narito ang walong official entries na maglalaban-laban sa darating na December: “Miracle in Cell #7” starring Aga Muhlach and Bela Padilla, produced by Viva Films; “Mission Unstapabol: The Don Identity” na pagbibidahan nina Vic Sotto at Maine Mendoza with Pokwang and Jake Cuenca under APT Entertainment and MZet Productions;

“Sunod” starring Carmina Villarroel produced by Ten17; “M&M: The Mall The Merrier” nina Vice Ganda at Anne Curtis, produced by ABS-CBN & Viva Films.

Ang apat pang maswerteng pumasok sa Magic 8 ay ang “Mindanao” ni Judy Ann Santos produced by Centerstage; “Write About Love” starring Yeng Constantino, Rocco Nacino and Miles Ocampo under TBA Studios; “3Pol Trobol, Huli Ka Balbon” nina Coco Martin, Jennylyn Mercado at Ai Ai delas Alas produced by CCM Films; at “Culion” na pinagbibidahan ni Iza Calzado mula sa iOptions Ventures.

Ayon kay Chairman Danny Lim, para sa huling apat na slots ngayong taon ay nakatanggap sila ng 15 pelikula mula sa 21 production companies kaya mas matindi ang naging deliberation ng Selection Committee sa pagpili ng karapat-dapat na pelikula na kukumpleto sa Final 8.

Siyempre, malungkot ang mga tagasuporta ni Ate Guy dahil hindi napili ang pelikula niyang “Isa Pang Bahaghari” kung saan kasama niya sina Phillip Salvador at Michael de Mesa. Hindi rin napili ang horror movie ni Maricel na

“The Heiress” kasama si Janella Salvador.

Samantala, magaganap naman ang Annual Parade of Stars sa Dec. 22, Linggo sa Taguig City habang ang Gabi Ng Parangal ay gaganapin sa Dec. 27 sa New Frontier Theater.

Magsisimula ang 45th MMFF sa Dec. 25 hanggang Jan. 7, 2020.

Ayon kay Chairman Lim mas magiging makabuluhan ang 2019 MMFF dahil kasabay nito ngayong taon ang Centennial Celebration of Philippine Cinema.
