There’s a new singer on the block and she is following the footsteps of her famous lola Elizabeth Ramsey and tita Jaya. Her name? Ana Ramsey.
When she was launched recently for her song “Tahan,” she sang two songs “Hanggang” and Jennifer Hudson’s “I am Changing. ” Oh, boy, she was so good. Birit kung birit.
“Wala po talaga akong formal training. Kung ano lang ang napapanood ko sa YouTube, madalas po kasikong nanonood ng live performances. So parang ina-adopt ko lang ‘yung mga natutunan kong style,” she told us.
“Looking forward nga po ako na malaman ko ang proper breathing and all. Kung ano lang po ang alam ko ay ‘yun lang ang ina-apply ko sa every performance,” she said.
Being a Ramsey is malaking bagay for Ana.
“Malaki pong bagay kasi nilo-look up ko sila. Sila ang mga inspiration ko. They made a name for themselves and hoping ako and really praying na I will also make a name for myself.”
But she didn’t use her popular name to etch a name for herself, “Gusto ko po sanang paghirapan din at dumaan talaga sa proseso.”
“It is an advantage and I am happy na Ramsey ang dinadala kong apelyido. Medyo may pressure siya pero at the same time ay malaking factor iyan sa akin,” she added.
