‘Na-touch ako sa ginawa ni Kris, talagang nagpasalamat pa siya sa mga isinulat ko’
KUNG may nobelang “War and Peace” si Leo Tolstoy, one of the two key words forms part of Sen. Nancy Binay’s book na pinamagatang “Make Love Not War.”
Personally, we didn’t know that the lady solon had a gift for writing.
Ang alam kasi namin sa isang taong biniyayaan ng ganitong talent or skill, musmos pa lang siya’y kinakikitaan na ng ganitong inclination.
Parang sa kaso ni Nancy, latent ang manifestation nito. Or perhaps we’re simply ignorant of what she was like back in her grade school days until she worked her way through college.
College. Nagtapos kaya siya ng kursong Journalism, Creative Writing or any related course? May advantage kasi siya had she finished any of these.
Nancy’s writing a book, however, is one of irony.
If no one sana knew her family issues, mapapalampas niya ang pamagat pa lang ng kanyang libro.
Sa foreword o preface kaya ng librong ‘yon, is there any reference kaya sa sibling rivalry nina Abby at Junjun na parehong tumatakbo for the same local post in Makati?
Idine-dedicate ba ni Nancy ang librong ‘yon to her dalawang kapatid, or was the book principally intended for them?
Kung kaming nakakaalam ng hidwaan sa pagitan nina Abby at Junjun, why would we want to grab a copy of Nancy’s book?
Even before she could draft a few chapters, hindi kaya muna niya inisip kung paanong pananaigin ang pag-ibig o pagmamahalan in an environment where animosity reigns, at nang dahil lang sa pulitika?
How does Nancy expect her readers to believe her gayong sa mismong bakuran niya ay maraming kalat ang dapat walisin?
Helloooo!!!

Going down from the house for our afternoon coffee ay iniiwan lang namin ang aming mobile phone, only to see Kris Aquino’s text message.
Twenty four years (in her text message) ang lumipas, ngayon lang kami nagkaroon ng komunikasyon ni Kris, who messaged us para magpasalamat for the two newspaper articles we wrote, taking a stand on her behalf.
Tulad ng aming ipinost sa Facebook hours after receipt of her text message, touched kami sa gesture ni Kris considering na napaka-busy niyang tao.
Sinabi namin way before her twin (?) issue with Nicko Falcis and Gretchen Barretto, and the one with Phillip Salvador ay consistent kami with our pro-Kris stand.
Some people might not understand this but we’ve always taken fancy at Kris and anything she does. May mga pagkakataon din namang inookray namin siya but those were not personal, perjorative attacks against her person.
The aliw factor that Kris gives us personally is always coupled with a quaint admiration for the woman who thinks best under the worst circumstances.
You’re most welcome, Kris. #Alam na.
