Rainbow’s Sunset Best Picture sa 2018 MMFF; Dennis Trillo, Gloria Romero waging Best Actor, Best Actress
ITINANGHAL na Best Actor si Dennis Trillo (One Great Love) habang Best Actress naman si Gloria Romero (Rainbow’s Sunset) sa ginanap na Gabi ng Parangal ng 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival kagabi sa The Theater At Solaire.
Ang LGBT film na “Rainbow’s Sunset” na pinagbibidahan nina Ms. Gloria at Eddie Garcia ang nanalong Best Picture sa 44th edition ng taunang filmfest. Wagi rin si Joel Lamangan bilang Best Director para sa nasabing pelikula.
Kasabay nito nanawagan din ang direktor sa lahat ng mga theater owners, “Sana naman, huwag lang komersyo ang kanilang isipin. Irespeto rin sana ng mga sinehan ang sining at industriya.”
Agaw-eksena naman ang baguhang child star na si Phoebe Villamor nang umiyak matapos tawagin ang kanyang pangalan bilang Best Child Performer para sa pelikulang “Aurora.” Sinundan pa ito ng malakas na tawanan mula sa audience nang banggitin niya ang pangalan ni Vic Sotto sa kanyang thank you speech sa halip na Vic Del Rosario ng Viva Films.
Ang walong official entries sa 2018 MMFF ay ang mga sumusunod: Aurora; Fantastica; Jack Em Popoy: The PulisCredibles; Mary, Marry Me; One Great Love; The Girl in the Orange Dress; Rainbow’s Sunset at Otlum. Mapapanood ang mga ito hanggang Jan. 7, 2019.
