IT baffles us why direk Erik Matti was ranting against “Crazy Rich Asians” when it has been what, two or three months na itong naipalabas.
“No matter how successful this #CrazyRichAsian movie is, it’s still just a piece of old school 90’s style TV movie.
“Caricature acting, white man’s view on asians, cliche insights wrapped in flashy modern parties, tita sensibilities, bad direction.
“This is no Pretty Woman! Far from it. But who can argue with success? That’s why everyone here I think wants to make a version of this here. #kumitakayamagandanayan.”
That was his critique about the movie. So, direk Erik had nega comments about him coming.
Yes, he invited negativity so na-bash siya sa opinions ng netizens. Masyado raw siyang feeling.
“Halata tong director na toh walang alam. The story might be a cliche but for Asians who lives in the US like us it’s such an honor. Finally a movie in Hollywood with all Asian cast. Kaya tumahimik sya. Halata tuloy.”
“MISMO. Galing-galingan waley din naman, hindi naman marunong tumingin sa pang-kabuuang konteksto.”

“Agree, hindi rin kagandahan mga movies ni Matti kaya hwag magmataas. Tapos yung mga actors nya mga so-so lang acting di nya mapiga.”
