Fernandez hindi inalis bilang PSC commissioner

PINABULAAN ng Philippine Sports Commission ang kumakalat na balita na inalis na ng Palasyo si Ramon Fernandez bilang PSC commissioner.
Mismong si PSC chairman on-leave William “Butch” Ramirez ang nagpahayag na walang katotohanan ang impormasyon patungkol sa kinukunsidera na matapang at pinaka-kritikong miyembro ng ahensiya hinggil sa iba’t-ibang isyu sa sports partikular sa korupsiyon na si Fernandez.
“As far as I am concerned, he is still a Commissioner, and in my absence he will act as OIC or Acting Chairman,” sabi ni Ramirez.
Ipinaliwanag naman ni Fernandez na siya rin ay nakatanggap ng balita subalit kanya lamang itong isinaisantabi dahil hawak niya ang buong pagtitiwala ni Ramirez at suporta ng Palasyo.
“May mga BFF kasi tayo,” pabirong sabi ni Fernandez na tinutukoy ang posibleng pinanggalingan ng balita ay ang mga nakabangga niya sa kanyang pagtutok sa mga unliquidated accounts ng mga National Sports
Associations (NSAs).
“Inaprubahan naman namin lahat ng request ng mga NSAs pati na sa POC. Ang problema ay hindi nila makukuha ang pondo at tulong pinansiyal nila dahil kailangan nila mag-comply sa requirements ng Commission on Audit (CoA). Hindi naman namin hawak at separate agency ang CoA,” pagpapaliwanag ni Fernandez. —Angelito Oredo
