Bea 3 beses tinraydor; Paulo may bonggang pasabog sa ‘Kasal’

Alex Brosas - May 17, 2018 - 12:05 AM

WATCHED “Kasal” during its premiere night last Tuesday and it is one movie you should watch.

Bea Alonzo as Lia plays a simple school teacher who is about to get married to a future mayor (Paulo Avelino’s Philip character). Their romance took a difficult turn when engineer Wado, played by Derek Ramsay, returns to make a romantic bid to win back Lia.

As Lia, Bea showed intensity as a woman torn between two lovers. Being betrayed not once, not twice but thrice in the movie even offer complex emotions which the actress was able to breeze through with characteristic aplomb.

As a young guy running for mayor and is pressed to win the elections by hook or by crook by his father, Christopher de Leon, Paulo displayed in great abundance an amalgam of emotions as a new twist unfolds. He was good in his portrayal as he showed intensity in most of his difficult scenes.

Derek’s Wado character is decidedly apologetic to Lia’s simple demeanor but the hunk actor easily waves magic as his character develops to something the audiences will surely relate with.

Scorned, Derek, like a true-blue lover, fought for his love in a manner that is both cool and ballistic.

Beauty queen Kylie Verzosa whose natural acting flair should land her in more films. Her crispy one-liners and her audacity to be very sexy are plus factors for her emerging acting career.

Go watch “Kasal” as it will make you realized the different kinds of love we have in this universe. Kay direk Ruel, isa kang bayani for coming up with a very millennial love story like no other!!!
