Tugade sinibak ang isang opisyal ng CAAP dahil sa extortion
SINIBAK ni Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade ang isang opisyal ng Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) dahil umano sa pangingikil.
Inalis sa trabaho si CAAP Airworthiness Inspector Rodolfo Moral, matapos ang ulat na nanghingi siya ng pera sa isang religious group kapalit ng airworthiness certification.
“Walang puwang sa departamento ko at sa administrasyon ni Pangulong Duterte ang mga corrupt! Hindi alam ng mga gaya ninyo ang tunay na kahulugan ng serbisyo publiko,” sabi ni Tugade.
Base sa imbestigasyon ng CAAP, hindi ito ang unang pagkakataon na nasangkot si Moral, isang dating Air Force Colonel, sa pangongotong.
Nagbabala naman si CAAP Director General Capt. Jim Sydiongco sa mga empleyado na hindi niya pahihintulutan ang katiwalian sa ahensiya.
“We want to send a strong message to everyone here in CAAP that we will not, in any way, tolerate corruption. That is unethical, and it should be stopped,” sabi ni Sydiongco sa isang pahayag.
