NAIS ni Pangulong Duterte na maging mayor ng Davao City ang kanyang apo kay dating Davao City mayor Paolo “Pulong” Duterte.
“Mag-interest na lang ako ‘yung apo ko maging mayor ng Davao, okay na ‘yan. At least may dumaang mayor na Muslim,” sabi ni Duterte na ang tinutukoy ay ang apong si Omar Vincent Duterte, 24.
Kasama ni Duterte si Omar sa kanyang pagbisita sa Sulu kamakalawa matapos namang iprisinta sa kanya ang mga sumukong miyembro ng Abu Sayyaf.
“Davao, neutral naman eh. It’s because kami. Ang Davao neutral wala ‘yang — wala ‘yang Muslim-Muslim, walang Moro-Moro diyan walang…Lalo na si Inday, ayaw ng bigotry ‘yan. Kasi they know, I know na part of us belongs to the Moro people,” sabi pa ni Duterte.
Samantala, sinabi ni Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Christopher “Bong” Go na hindi maghahanda si Duterte sa kanyang ika-72 kaarawan ngayon.
” Mayor Rody will be celebrating his birthday at home, with his family. He has never been known to throw lavish birthday parties even when he was mayor of Davao City. Prayers from his well-wishers during his birthday would surely make him very happy,” sabi ni Go.
