398 pulis sinibak; 1,216 pa nahaharap sa disciplinary action

IPINAG-UTOS ni Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa ang pagsibak sa serbisyo sa 398 pulis na sangkot sa iligal na droga at iba pang krimen kagaya ng murder at rape.

“As the father of the organization, my heart bleeds when I sign dismissal orders for delinquent policemen. It’s a tough decision, but it had to be done for the sake of the organization,” sabi ni dela Rosa sa isang pahayag.

Ayon sa PNP Public Information Office, sa kabuuang 398 sinibak na pulis, 151 dito ay positibo sa paggamit ng droga, samantalang 16 ay sangkot sa iligal na droga.

Samantala, umabot sa 91 ang sinibak dahil naman sa absent without official leave (AWOL); 10 dahil sa kidnapping; 22 dahil sa murder; anim dahil sa  homicide; tatlo para sa rape; dalawa dahil sa  parricide; at tatlo para sa illegal arrest at detention.

Bukod pa rito, 23 ang sinibak dahil sa robbery at extortion; 1 para sa  graft at malversation; at 70 iba pa dahil sa  grave misconduct dahil sa  immorality, dishonesty, estafa, at paglabag sa Batas Pambansa 22 o Bouncing Checks Law, ayon pa sa  PIO.

Ipinag-utos ni dela Rosa sa  PNP Directorate for Personnel and Records Management (DPRM) na patawan ng  disciplinary action ang  1,216 iba pang pulis.
