Palasyo: Pulong sa pagitan ni Du30 at mga mayor highly confidential

SINABI ni Communications Secretary Martin Andanar na highly-confidential ang pakikipagpulong ni Pangulong Duterte sa mahigit 1,000 mayor na ipinatawag sa Malacanang kahapon

Sa isang panayam, idinagdag ni Andanar na bagamat naroon siya, hindi siya kasamang pumasok sa closed-door meeting.

“It is at the closed door meeting eh and the President just wanted to talk to the mayors na sila, sila lang at…you know, he wanted to talk to them in a very intimate manner,” sabi ni Duterte.

Matatandaang nauna nang inihayag ni Duterte na ipapatawag niya ang lahat ng mga mayor sa buong bansa para ipakita ang listahan ng mga sangkot sa droga.

“I was not informed kung ano iyong pag-uusapan. It was highly confidential…government matters and noong pagdating ko doon ay nalaman ko na lang na—kung ano iyong napag-usapan, kasi… of course, hindi naman natin alam kung ano talaga iyong pinaka-agenda,” paliwanag ni Andanar.

Sinabi pa ni Andanar na hiwalay na kinausap ni Duterte ang mga mayor sa Luzon, Visayas at Mindanao.

“Pero what I can tell you is that it was a heart-to-heart talk between the President and the mayors. So it was amplifying the message of the President and the policy of the President on the illegal drugs, kasi nga alam naman natin na this is the priority policy of the President. At kung ano, iyong enormity kasi ng problema hindi matatawaran, so the President had to talk to them,” paliwanag pa ni Andanar.
