OFWs sa Hong Kong bibida sa MMFF entry na ‘Sunday Beauty Queen’

Dapat tularan ang positibong attitude ng producers at director ng festival entry na “Sunday Beauty Queen.”

Kesa sumatsat at makipagdebate sa tumutuligsa sa kalahok na entries na indie films, blessing ang turing ng film maker na si Baby Ruth Villarama at napansin ng MMFF committee ang produkto nilang kahit documentary.

Ilang taon kasi bago natapos ang “SBQ” na real life characters ang mapapanood. Sila ‘yung mga OFW sa Hong Kong na sumasali sa beauty contest.

Dumaan ang producers, director at staff sa butas ng karayom, nasagad ang mga savings at nakaranas ng hirap sa HK habang tinatapos ang pelikula. Mabuti naman at nahanapan nila ng dagdag na funding ito mula sa producers ng

“Heneral Luna”, ang TBA, kaya naitawid nila nang maayos ang documentary.

Just like any other indie producers na agad hinusgahan ang produkto, hiling ni direk Baby Ruth, panoorin muna nila ang docu bago sila husgahan.

Kahit walang artista sa cast, nangangako naman ang producers na all out sila sa promotions ng “Sunday Beauty Queen” upang magkaroon ng awareness ang publiko sa kanilang produkto.
