Sinuspinde ng Sandiganbayan Seventh Division si Muntinlupa Rep. Rozzano Rufino Biazon kaugnay ng kinakaharap nitong kasong graft na nag-ugat sa maanomalya umanong paggamit sa kanyang pork barrel fund.
“We grant the prosecution’s motion,” saad ng limang pahinang resolusyon. “Section 13 of RA 3019 (Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act) mandates that a public order with a pending charge for a crime covered by either RA 3019 or Title Seven, Book II of the Revised Penal Code of any offense involving fraud upon government or public funds or property, shall be suspended from office.”
Bukod kay Biazon, sinuspendi rin ng korte ang kanyang mga kapwa akusado na sina Mario Relampagos, Rosario Nunez, Lalaine Paule at Marilou Bare mga opisyal ng taga-Department of Budget and Management.
Tatagal ng 90 araw ang suspensyon at otomatikong mawawala kapag nakompleto na ang itinakdang panahon.
Ang kaso ay kaugnay ng maanomalya umanong paglalagay ni Biazon ng P3 milyon ng kanyang Priority Development Assistance Fund sa Philippine Social Development Foundation Inc., isa sa mga non-government organization na iniuugnay kay Janet Lim Napoles noong 2007.
Ayon sa prosekusyon tumanggap si Biazon ng P1.95 milyong ‘rebates’ mula sa agent na si Zenaida Ducut, dating kongresista at chairman ng Energy Regulatory Commission.
Pinili umano ni Biazon ang Technology Resource Center bilang implementing agency at ang PSFI bilang NGO partner nito.
Hindi umano totoo na ginamit ang pondo para sa farm implements, livelihood materials at training.
