Ai Ai pinaiyak ang mga nanood ng ‘Area’ sa Eurasia Int’l filmfest

NASA Cloud 9 pa rin ang director na si Louie Ignacio dahil sa tinanggap na Special Jury Prize ng movie niyang “Area” sa 12th Eurasia International Film Festival sa Kazakhstan.

Bago ‘yon, ang movie naman niyang “Laut” na pinagbidahan ni Barbie Forteza ay naging Honorable Mention sa All Lights India International Film Festival.

“I didn’t expect na ganoon iwi-welcome ng mga foreigners ang film natin. ‘Yung host of the event (sa Eurasia), sabi niya. it (Area) was a masterpiece. After the screening, hindi umalis.

“Pinuntahan nila si Ai Ai (delas Alas) and they were all crying. They kept praising Ai Ai, calling her Hilary. Nakaka-proud,” kuwento ni direk Louie.

Gumaganap na isang aging prostitute sa nasabing movie at mismong ang Comedy Queen ang nagsabi na napakaraming challenges ang hinarap niya habang ginagawa ang pelikula, kabilang na riyan ang pagsu-shooting sa kanilang location.

Sabi pa ni Ai Ai, dream role para sa kanya ang gumanap na isang La-Ocean Deep (read: laos) na prostitute. Sakto naman na siya ang first choice ni direk Louie Ignacio pati na ng writer nito para gampanan ang lead character sa movie.

Sabi pa nga ni Ai Ai noong bago ipalabas sa 12th Eurasia International filmfest sa Kazakhstan, “Ma-nominate lang ako rito, sobrang okay na ‘ko. Tsaka maka-attend lang ako ng international filmfest, okay na okay na yun.”

Nakatakda sanang magbigay ng thanksgiving si Ai Ai this week, pero ipinagpaliban niya muna ito dahil biglaan siyang nagkasakit.
