13 kawal nagpositibo sa droga

Labintatlong kawal ang nag-positibo sa drug test na isinagawa sa Army headquarters sa Fort Bonifacio at nanganganib masibak sa serbisyo.

Ayon kay Army spokesman Col. Benjamin Hao, ang 13 ay kabilang sa 2,500 kawal na sumailalim sa surpise drug test nitong Martes.

Isinagawa ang test matapos ang pang-umagang ehersisyo at walang kawal na exempted, kaya pati si Army chief Lt. Gen. Eduardo Ano ay sinuri, ani Hao.

Sasailalim sa confirmatory test ang 13 nag-positibo at masisibak kapag muling bumagsak.

“If the confirmatory test is positive, it is enough evidence for us to discharge our personnel,” ani Hao.

Nasa kostudiya ngayon ng hukbo ang 13 para sa karagdagang imbestigasyon habang hinihintay ang resulta ng confirmatory test.

Ayon kay Hao, mula nang simulan ng Army ang kampanya laban sa mga kawal na gumagamit ng iligal na droga ay 204 sundalo na ang nasibak.

Umabot sa 131 ag natanggal sa serbisyo noong 2013, 38 noong 2014, 30 noong 2015, at lima na ngayong taon, ani Hao.
