Teodoro itinangging tinanggihan na ang alok ni Duterte na defense post
ITINANGGI ni dating Defense secretary Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro, Jr. na inayawan na niya nag alok ni presumptive President-elect Rodrigo Duterte na muling hawakan ang kanyang dating puwesto.
“I have not declined the offer of the President-elect to serve as defense secretary. The importance of the position to the national interest requires no less than serious consultation especially with the President-elect before accepting such in order to ensure that a prospective Secretary is the right choice,” sabi ni Teodoro.
Bagamat nakipag-usap na si Teodoro kay Duterte noong Mayo 16 matapos bumisita ang una sa Davao City, sandali lamang ang kanilang pag-uusap.
Si Teodoro ay dating Defense Secretary ni dating pangulo at ngayon ay Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
Tumakbo rin siya bilang pangulo noong 2010 sa ilalim ng administrasyon, bagamat natalo sa kanyang pinsan na si Pangulong Aquino.
