NAGSIMULA na ang taping ng blind auditions para sa bagong season ng The Voice Kids Season 3 kung saan uupo pa ring coach-mentor sina Lea Salonga at Bamboo with Megastar Sharon Cuneta bilang kapalit ni Sarah Geronimo.

Nakachika namin sina coach Bamboo and coach Lea during their taping break sa studio ng The Voice Kids, at sinisiguro nila sa mga manonood na maraming changes na dapat abangan sa reality talent search ng ABS-CBN.

“Yes, may mga changes that’s why mas nakaka-excite ang new season, and it’s all looking good. Ako kasi, I always welcome change, it’s part of life, so mag-enjoy ka lang,” chika ni Bamboo.

Natanong ko ang singer-composer kung ano ang initial reaksiyon niya nang sabihin ni Sarah G. na aalis na siya sa show, sagot ni Bamboo, “I was surprised but I think I felt that as well even when we ended the previous season, she sort a hinted it na. Nagsabi na siya na. ‘pahinga muna ako.’ But I didn’t expect na gagawin talaga niya.”

What about the Megastar being the new coach in the show? “Sharon has been great. We’ve done one audition episode so far and her day one has been good so far as our new coach. It looks promising naman.

So kung anong lessons you learned from this, throw it out, di ba? Minsan may meters lang like parang naalala ko to ganito nangyari. You learn from this mistakes, this lessons eh, and you build on that and it’s healthy progress. I’ve been clearer I think.

“I’m pretty clear as a coach on what I am eh, what I wanna do what kind of kids I want on my team. Character values is very important,” aniya.

Sa tanong naman kung ang singing talent ba ng isang bata ay acquired or inborn, sagot ni Bamboo, “I really think it can be developed. On some level it’s there, pero may ibang bata naman na pwedeng ma-train early on eh, so parang may studies na pag ang baby nakikinig sa rhythm habang batambata pa they pick it up.

“There is a big difference sa generation dati minsan I listen to my friends. They can’t hear keys eh, diba? Compared to children today. Yung music very accessible ngayon. So sila parang automatic na. Di na sila nawawala sa key. That’s it. I always tell them na wag masyadong mag-earbuds. Ako I tell them to listen sa speaker lang. Wag masyadong mag-headphones.”
