“First of all my job in the MTRCB, do you think people will recommend me if not for the reputation of FPJ? On the other hand, that’s the capital that I’m working with.
I don’t intend to lose it, I intend to add to it, not to lose it,” sabi pa ng anak ni Da King.
“When I told her, I’m being offered the MTRCB post, nagulat ako, her face lit up.
Kaya natin ‘yan, you know what the issues are because you grew up God-fearing and disliking censors, so do it.
So, nung inoffer na sa akin ang Senate, siyempre nalungkot siya, sabi niya if you join this race, you better do this to win.
Don’t do it half-heartedly, you pour yourself into it, do your best,” ayon pa kay Poe.
“When I went to the province, sabi sa akin ng mga tao, ikaw ‘yung anak ni FPJ, nanonood kami ng teleserye ng nanay mo, si Manang Henya, dun sa Walang Hanggan, tapos anak ni FPJ, meron kaagad connection to the people kasi nga they can relate to the roles,” kwento pa ni Poe.
“The first who really invited me is the President.
Of course, there are informal paramdams, talks every now and then, people from Liberal Party but it’s really the President who invited me to discuss the possibilities.”
Mr President, it’s an honor to be considered by you. If you think I will be of help and I’ll be an advantage to your team, it is my honor to be a part of your team.
Please let me know as early as you can so that I could be prepared emotionally and I left it at that,” kwento ni Poe.
“May tampo. But, sabi niya, you know even when you joined Liberal, which I’m actually not, I’m independent, we will support you because I love your dad very much, he is my bestfriend.
Cybercrime Law
I agree with the President in most of the issues, but I also agree when he finally said that Cybercrime Law would need certain amendments.
Sang-ayon ako with revisions. Cybercrime is anti-child prostitution, anti-cybersex, mabuti naman ‘yun,
Really? makukulong ako kasi nag-like ako? Ngayon nga lang ako natututong mag-Twitter, makukulong pa ako.
Sin tax bill
Sangayon ako, the highest possible tax rate for cigarettes.
Rproductive Health bill
I will always be against abortion but I think the debate on RH bill should continue and be open to discussion.
I really think women should have access to the best possible health care, prenatal care and that they should be given all the support so that they can have fulfilling lives.
Divorce
I am open to it especially on a ground that women should be protected. The government should open the discussion on this.
FOI bill
I’m for Freedom of Information bill. OK, kung matino ang administration natin…
What kung hindi? How can you be protected? How can you get information if you don’t have something like that?
Logging
Responsible forestry, come on, we can’t live without a table.
Like in the US, habang nagtatanggal sila rito, nagtatanim na sila dito, pagbalik nila malaki na ‘yung dito.
Mining
Responsible mining. Whether we accept it or not, obviously when we say responsible mining, ang bumabalik sa government two percent lang na tax.
Kalokohan naman ‘yun and who determines if a particular mine is actually safe.
Kasi, di ba we are an earthquake prone area so how do we do it? At sana, if there is responsible mining, we have to be able to process whatever we mine here in the Philippines.
Hindi parang we export all the raw materials pagdating sa atin, finished product na, mas mahal na.
Why can’t we revive na that’s part of the deal. You mine here but you process here, at least 50 percent or 60 percent of what you mine.
Peace talks
I’m very optimistic about this Bangsamoro Framework.
It’s a far cry from what GMA was trying to do which was sneaky, the MOA-AD, all of a sudden, the US was in Malaysia.
All of a sudden magiging independent na ang Mindanao.
What I really like is ‘yung sinabi ng Malaysia na we cannot sacrifice another generation and then finally children can have the future their parents envisioned for them instead of guns.
Same sex marriage
Even before we venture to that, we should consider the legal protection of a partner.
We have to. For example, you have a gay person working in a company, how does his partner get medical coverage, di ba, as a partner not a spouse.
These are the things that we have to figure out. The benefits, insurance, all other benefits that is accorded a wife.
How do we lay that out first before we even venture into saying that yes you can get married, di ba? Paano ‘yung legal representation nila?
Charter change
We have to strengthen first the elctorate. Kasi ngayon kung sino lang ang powerful pero later on, you can see pumipili na sila ng hindi basta- basta, there is already rise in consciousness on who to put in office. Hindi na katulad noon.
We have to have an empowered electorate before we can actually say let’s totally change the system but definitely, we should have amendments every now and then. Constitution naman is not a perfect document.
House arrest for GMA
Not house arrest. For me as long as she medically needs it and it’s not St. Luke’s determining, but Veterans, she should be kept in a hospital if she really needs. House arrest, maybe not because Erap initially didn’t have that.
Pork barrel
Ang importante kasi diyan sa pork barrel, gamitin ninyo naman talaga for your district.
The way it should be dispensed, should be reevaluated.
