Legalisasyon ng marijuana umusad

Isang technical working group ang binuo ng House committee on health upang pag-aralan ang panukalang batas para sa legalisasyon ng marijuana na gagamitin sa panggagamot.
Umaasa si Isabela Rep. Rodito Albano III, may-akda ng The Compassionate Use of Medical Cannabis Act (House bill 4477) na mapabibilis ang pagpasa ng panukala upang maibsan ang sakit na nararamdaman ng mga taong may malubhang karamdaman.
Iginiit rin ni Albano na hindi maaaring hithitin ang marijuana sa ilalim ng panukala kundi kakatasin ito upang makuha ang kemikal na kailangan sa panggagamot.
Ayon naman kay AAMBIS-Owa Rep. Sharon Garin itatayo rin ang Medical Cannabis Authority upang kontrolin ang paggamit ng marijuana sa mga pasyente at aamyendahan ang Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“The government shall, however aim to achieve a balance in the national drug control program so that people with legitimate medical needs are not prevented from being treated with adequate amounts of appropriate medications, which include dangerous drugs.”
Ang cannabis ay nakatutulong sa panggagamot sa Glaucoma, Epilepsy, Hepatitis C, Spinal Cord injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Hydrocephalus at 30 iba pang medical conditions.
Sa Estados Unidos ay legal na ang paggamit ng marijuana sa pangagamot at ginagamot sa may 500,000 pasyente sa 21 estado ng Amerika.
