WITH a heading on Facebook “25 of the Richest Celebrities in the Philippines,” siyam sa bilang na ‘yon—na pinangungunahan ni dating First Lady Imelda Marcos—ay mula sa showbiz.

Ito ang pagkakasunud-sunod ng mga personalidad mula sa 17th spot all the way to the 25th: Vicki Belo, Jinkee Pacquiao, Congresswoman Vilma Santos-Recto, Susan Roces, Sharon Cuneta, Kris Aquino, Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado, Mother Lily Monteverde at Amalia Fuentes.

Kalabisan na sigurong sabihin na ang iba sa talaang ito come from affluent families even before they became famous in showbiz. Ang iba naman have amassed huge investments habang namamayagpag sa mundong ng showbiz.

Of course, this is not a BIR concern, neither is the list meant to sow seeds of envy among the less privileged. Mas magandang tingnan ang listahang ito from a motivational perspective para marami sa ating mga kababayan ay maging masinop sa buhay.
